Our long pepper is grown and fermented on our farm in Kampot . It is very versatile in cooking, and will surprise those who are already familiar with salt-fermented Kampot pepper. Although it has similar fresh aromas, it also brings a real power to your dishes. Similarly, we do not recommend cooking with it, but adding it to your dishes before serving!
STORAGE TIPS FOR FRESH LONG PEPPER WITH SALT
Like all our salt-fermented peppers, Fresh Long Pepper with Salt should be kept in the refrigerator to best protect this original product. Once opened, keep Fresh Long Pepper with Salt in a sealed jar in the refrigerator to keep it fresh!
The long pepper fruits are hand-harvested while still green and unripe. They are washed and scalded and undergo a complex fermentation process with Kampot salt. Developed at La Plantation, this fermentation enhances the flavor, which is similar to fresh green long pepper picked from the pepper plant.
